Children's University

Children’s University is an opportunity for children to be rewarded for spending time in positive activities outside normal school hours. Children record each hour that they do in an activity when they attend clubs, such as football, dance, scouts etc or visit attractions, such as Yorkshire Wildlife Park. The clubs have to be registered with the Children’s University but registration is free.

The children were ‘gifted’ with their own passport in July  They will use the passport to record their learning hours outside school hours. Once they attain 30 hours they will be awarded with their first certificate – the bronze award. If the children collect more hours they will achieve more certificates. They will then be invited to graduate at an annual ceremony wearing a ‘cap and gown’ where they will be presented with their certificate in front of an invited audience.

More information can be found on the National Children’s University website.

In July 19 children â€˜graduated’ at Doncaster College.  Well done to all.
