Curriculum at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Primary School
Our Curriculum Intent:
At Our Lady of Perpetual Help Primary School, our Christ-centred curriculum is designed to ensure all children are creative, critical thinkers, who are equipped with the skills needed to make a positive contribution to the world around them.
Based on the children’s prior learning, lessons are sequenced so that the children are taught basic skills, acquire knowledge, learn new concepts and then are given the opportunity to apply their new learning to meaningful contexts. We regularly provide enhancement opportunities to engage learning and allow children to explore the world around them and ask questions. We believe that there are no limits to curiosity.
Our core values promote high aspirations through the children’s ability to persevere, collaborate, reflect and understand that mistakes are part of the learning process.
