Care For Creation

Care For Creation Team 2024 - 2025

Our Care For Creation team is made of  up of two smaller teams; Ivy-Blue, Annalise, Jakub, Ola and Kai are in team 1 and Jack, Kaite, James, Emily and Edward are in team 2.

Each team meets with their leader, Mrs McMahon on a weekly basis. During their meetings, the children work together to help make improvements to our school, local community and wider environment. 

What have our Care For Creations Teams achieved so far this year? 

The new Care For Creation Teams were elected in September. Here are some of the activities that have taken place so far or will be happening soon:

Planned the events that they would like to achieve throughout the year

Did some maintenace of Our Lady's Prayer Garden e.g. designing and creating prayer stones

Planned a Road Safety assembly

Delivered their Road Safety assembly

Led a campaign outside our school to reduce speeding and poor parking

 Led a recylcing initiative 

Created bird feeders

Litter pick in our local area 

Care for Creation Carousel Day

We held a Care for Creation Carousel Day in school over the last two days of term. The children were separated into five different groups, each made up with children of different age groups. They went into each of our five classrooms to participate in various activities such as: making planters out of plaster bottles; dream catchers out of old clothes; a tapestry out of plastic bags and material; sock puppets from their odd socks and bug hotels out of toilet tubes. All the children enjoyed taking part and did very well working together.
